Throughout the 8-race league, VPH never won a single race. But whereas other clubs yo-yo’ed from 1st to 9th, VPH remained consistent, finishing 2nd on 6 occasions and 4th twice. Richard Newbold, Barry McKenna, and Andy Wheeler were the only runners to score exclusively in the ‘A’ team. There were a total of 20 runners who scored on either the ‘A’ team or the ‘B’ team. Richard Newbold, George Hart, and Joe Loboda were the only scorers to compete in all eight races. Richard Newbold was the only VPH'er to score in all eight A team races.
