Richard Newbold





Biography

Richard's first competitive outing was a 2.5 mile cross country race at Waddesdon, Bucks in November 1979 (103rd/216 in the U14's race) and hence is an athlete from before the jogging boom. Richard appeared at VPH at the end of 1992, and first represented the Club on the track in the Southern League at Andover in May 1993 at 400mH ('B' - 1st), 110mH ('B' - 2nd) and 3000m steeplechase ('A' - 1st). Richard is a qualified coach (UKA Level 3 - steeplechase).
