1. Handpicked specifically to lead enormous project of establishing, from scratch, a 350-person organization designed to operate RAF Alconbury, RAF Molesworth, and RAF Upwood
a. Although thrust into this position with no experience or guidance, and with immediate commander based 40 miles away, took on this challenge without hesitation
b. Structured $15 million budget to establish first year's expenditures
c. Secured space, furniture, and equipment to set up operations
d. Transformed vacant buildings into functional units
e. Systematically created organizational structure and relationships
f. Conducted numerous speeches on base and off-base to publicize this significant military reorganization
g. After five months, presented new Base Commander with an organization ready to do business
