Cars : Oulton Park 13th July 2003

This year the weather was much hotter and dryer than last year. This year I was concerned about getting sunburnt.

This year there were quite a few different races. Formula 3 cars roared round the track at unbelievable speeds. The minis managed to travel mostly unscathed around the first corner four abreast. The GT cars did so much overtaking the cars in the lead lapped some of the slower cars several times. There were numerous team sponsors present too, racing is expensive! One of the sponsors even drove one of their own vehicles around the track, but more about this later.

The formula three cars zoomed around the circuit making it difficult to take any pictures. Hopefully next year I will be able to afford a better camera.
The mini drivers appear to be attempting to set a new record... how many cars can go around the same corner at the same time. Some of the cars looked worse for wear afterwards and one of the minis was shorter than usual.
This car suddenly spun off the track as it drove past us. The car managed to get back on the track and went on to complete the race.
We were wondering what had happened until we saw the marshall picking up a bit of the car which had fallen off!
The sponsor of the car that spun off drove one of their own vehicles around the circuit after the GT race was finished.
Many people have heard of the classically styled cars with a wooden chassis that Morgan make, but have they seen this thundering sportscar?.
The lotus here is attempting to overtake the Golf GTi. The lotus was much quicker around the corners but the VW driver was making it difficult to get past.
