Race 8 - Avon Tyres British GT Championship

These sports cars have enclosed cockpits with no more than one door on each side. The cars are split into 3 classes GT2, GT3 (these are per international regulations) and GTC (which are closer to standard specification). During the hour long race every car must make a pit stop between 23 and 37 minutes to change drivers.

Picture Description
The race started behind the safety car so I took the opportunity to take a few pictures of the cars.
The marshalls waved the green flag for car 77 driven by Kevin Riley / Ian Flux so that they could start racing their Mosler MT900R which has a 5.7 litre engine.
Looking at the back of the car it appears to have venturi tunnels to help keep the car firmly on the ground.
Car 6 was a Vauxhall Monaro which had a 5.7 litre engine.
The trackspeed team entered 3 porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars. This pictures shows car 5 (Jonny Lang/Matt Allison) getting close to their team mates in car 4 (Miles Hulford/Matt Harris). The other car the team entered was car 3
Not all the cars were able to drive to the finish line. Nigel Greensall / Jonathon Coleman need help to get their Ferrari 360 Modena (car 99) back to the pit lane after the race had finished..
