Race 4 - Ginetta

I have been to many Oulton Park events. In the past the Ginetta races have been fairly uneventful. 2007 proved to be rather different.

Picture Description
Dawn and I arrived in time to see the cars set off on their formation lap following the safety car.
On the first lap I noticed that the cars were rather close together at cascades. Notice the white car going backwards. Not surprisingly they retired from the race.
I wasnt't really expected any more drama in the race when two cars left the road and crashed into the tyre wall as lakeside. Notice the one of the cars is on its roof!
The race was stopped so that the marshalls and medics could deal with the incidents. A medical car and an ambulance took the drivers away. Car 51 driven by Steve Williams was in a real mess, even the roll cage looks bent.
Car 76 driven by Stuart Hale also looked worse for wear - all the body work in front of the wheels was missing and it seemed to be leaking petrol. Once the tyre wall had been repaired the race restarted.
