Cars : New Brighton Promenade Saturday 6th September 2008

Each year the tarmac roads around King's Parade are closed to traffic. There are ten rally stages and after every second stage the marshalls change the track layout. A wide variety of vehicles take part. Some of the cars that have won here are: the classic Ford Escort Mk 2, the legendary Metro 6R4 the Darrian T90 and of course the Suberu Impreza.

This year I arranged to meet my brother at the event at around lunchtime as I had other commitments. I managed to find my brother's car but not my brother, "I wonder where he is?" I thought to myself. After a couple of phone calls we did find each other.

This year there were strong gusts of wind and a few showers. Despite wearing a water proof jacket my fingers started going numb holding the camera.
