People - Jesus

Introduction
Jesus is arguable to the most famous person to walk on the earth. These notes aim to introduce the reader to Jesus.

Long before the birth of Jesus there were numerous predictions (known as prophecies) about the coming messiah.
The birth of Jesus came amid unusual circumstances.
Jesus was baptised by John the baptist.

Ministry
Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honour Galilee of the Gentiles, by way of the sea, along the Jordan -
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. (Isaiah chapter 9 verses 1 - 2)
To fulfil this prophecy Jesus began to preach the good news.

Jesus started his ministry with a series of miracles and he taught the people with many parables.

Jesus appointed twelve apostles.

Transfiguration - Jesus was transfigured before Peter, James and John on a high mountain.
There appeared before them Elijah and Moses who were talking with Jesus. (Mark chapter 2 verses 2 - 4)

Judas agrees to betray Jesus.
