Friday 31st October
My photographs arrived, so now everyone can see my fence.

Thursday 30th October

Wednesday 29th October
Getting up early and going to work was quite a shock after a week on holiday.
The vote of confidence went badly for the Conservative party leader Ian Duncan Smith so it looks like there will be a new leader in the near(ish) future.

Tuesday 28th October
I took some more rubble to the tip. In the afternoon on way to my parents I replaced my faulty video recorder with a newer model. The advanced motorists meeting was quite interesting, the dentist speaking described how they spent seven months doing voluntary work in China after they had retired.

Monday 27th October
My brother David, helped me take some rubble to the tip. I took the scenic route home so we could have a look at the wind farm being built off the coast of Wales.

Sunday 26th October
On the way home from church it was warm enough to drive home with the sun roof open, which was quite surprising as we have had a light frost on the last few days. Since I am on holiday I decided not to do any DIY. Instead I had quick go at a computer game called homeworld 2.

Saturday 25th October
I posted off my film on the way to the supermarket. I demonstrated how fast I can load the shopping into my car... well it was raining!

Friday 24th October
I turned over the soil again and raked it. As it is starting to get frosty in the morning I decided not to plant any grass seed until next spring.

Thursday 23rd October
I relaxed over the morning. In the afternoon I turned over the soil. I am planning to plant grass so the soil must be prepared. I collected lots of stones and concrete from the flower bed. I think a trip to the tip will be required soon!

Wednesday 22nd October
I spent most of the day in the garden removing a concrete post and digging up a couple of flower beds. My brother David came round to lend a hand.

Tuesday 21st October
I had lots of things to finish off at work because I am taking the next five days as a holiday.

Monday 20th October
I watched a video of the Corsican rally. There was quite a bit of drama on and off the road due to the changing weather conditions. One of the Suberus crashed during testing and the mechanics didn't get any sleep as they finished fixing the car at 6am the next morning. Marko Martin crashed out of the rally when he slid off the road and vanished into the trees.

Sunday 19th October
In morning I got up and the grass in my garden was white with frost... Autumn seems to have arrived.
A second train derailed in the London underground in the same weekend... there seems to be an issue with preventitive maintenance.
I washed my car by hand and replaced the windscreen wipers as the old ones had worn out.
Tony Blair (the British Prime Minister) was taken to hospital with heart problems. Lots of people seem to want prime minister because of the money and power but I wouldn't want the job because of the loss of privacy and the stress.

Saturday 18th October
I did some digging in my back garden and discovered the remained of a buried fence post embedded in a large piece of concrete.

Friday 17th October

Thursday 16th October
I was saddened to hear about the ferry accident at Staten Island, New York.

Wednesday 15th October
We didn't have to worry about locking up after musicians as the church pastor was working late.

Tuesday 14th October

Monday 13th October
At lunch time I was quite surprised to see six swans swimming in the River Mersey.

Sunday 12th October
I did some digging in my back garden. I am in the process of removing some flower beds and increasing the size of the lawn.
My parents came round and showed me some of the pictures they took in America visiting my brother John and his wife Alicia.

Saturday 11th October
One of my brothers and my Dad came round to help me finish the fence.

Friday 10th October

Thursday 9th October
I managed to get to the gym on the way home. I have missed a couple of sessions recently due to work I have been doing on my fence.
I warmed up my scanner and started scanning the pictures of the clipper race.

Wednesday 8th October
My car had an expensive MOT test today. The original exhaust system was replaced (six years isn't bad), I needed a new tyre and a new windscreen.
At the end of musicians we noticed something unusual... nobody had their church keys with them making it a little tricky to lock the church building. I rang one of the church pastors up and they came and locked up.

Tuesday 7th October
On the way home from work I picked up a new graphics cards for my computer. I got my photographs of the clipper race developed.

Monday 6th October
I didn't sleep too well on Sunday night... the wind was reaching near gale force and I wasn't sure if the concrete holding my fence in place had set!
When I came home from work I was so tired, possibly due to my busy weekend?

Sunday 5th October
I managed to put up another fence panel on my own. It was quite challenging as the wind was starting to gust.

Saturday 4th October
I got up early, which was quite tough, sleeping always seems attractive when DIY beckons.
After doing my shopping I did some more digging in preparation for putting up my fence. Several members of the family came round and by evening we had three fence panels in place. Afterwards we celebrated by having a Chinese takeaway.

Friday 3rd October
Family and friends met to celebrate one of my cousin's birthday. There was lots of food which was good because I had been to the gym and hadn't eaten since!

Thursday 2nd October
I visited some friends from church. How did it get so late in the evening?

Wednesday 1st October
After musicians I came home the scenic route. On Friday there is a birthday party for one of my cousins and I wanted to know where the place is.
