Saturday 30th
My parents came round for tea, so I had lots of tidying up to do because all my tools I had used to work in the kitchen were lying around.

Friday 29th
Around lunch time some urgent work arrived for me, which the client wanted in the next delivery to them so I had a busy afternoon because next week I am not in the office, I am on holiday.
I saw a dredger Afon Cadnant working on the area around the liverpool landing stage. I took this picture from the ferry Royal Daffodil

Thursday 28th
I went shopping on the way home as I expect to have a busy weekend.

Wednesday 27th
Musicians... all change, the chap who normally plays bass guitar is starting a new job next week in France, so his brother will playing bass guitar in future.

Tuesday 26th
In the morning I woke up and thought it is cold. Where has Summer gone, why isn't the central heating on? I checked the boiler had pressure, I checked none of the circuit breakers had tripped. I ran out of time to do investigate further as I needed to have breakfast and go to work... I didn't fancy a cold shower!
On the way to work I saw the Sea Express 1 in her new colours (previously Sea Cat Isle of Man)... sorry no picture, I didn't have my camera with me.
When I came home from work I discovered the cause of the heating problem.

Monday 25th
I was off work, so I did a bit of shopping and dropping some tools off at my parents house.
Since it was sunny I did some gardening, which consisted mainly of digging dandylions out of my lawns.

Sunday 24th
Despite problems qualifying Michael Schumacher managed finish second. For the last ten lap Michael was lapping 2 seconds faster than anyone else which the other teams may find worrying. Barrichello seemed to suffer reliability problems, so Ferrari don't seem to have ironed out all the issues with the new car.

Saturday 23rd
F1 1st qualifying for San Marino (Imola) Grand Prix.

Friday 22nd

Thursday 21st
After work I didn't feel like doing much... the last two nights I have been at the gym and then worked on the church PA system to around 10pm.

Wednesday 20th
The ferry snow drop used both passenger ramps in the evening as there were more passengers than usual due to a signalling fault on the rail network.
Musicians was a bit more challenging than usual as we didn't finish all the changes last night. By the end of the rehersal all the monitors were working again, though one of the spare amplifiers seems to have died.

Tuesday 19th
I new pope has been chosen.
After going to the gym I climbed up a ladder into the false ceiling. I was helping to re-route some of the speaker cables at church.

Monday 18th
The church web site is working again. Someone I know from church has a new job starting next month, near Strasbourg, so I don't expect I will see them very often, though there are cheap flights to Basel, which isn't too far from there.
Remember the film A Perfect Storm? Today a large wave washed two fishermen overboard. Fortunately the situation had a happy ending as they were able to climb back on their boat and two life boats escorted them back into Liverpool.

Sunday 17th

Saturday 16th
The church web site stopped being accessable... it wasn't me who broke it!

Friday 15th
I finished grouting the tiles in the kitchen.

Thursday 14th
My Dad put up the final tiles in my kitchen and put the handles on the cupboards. I picked up an extra box of tiles on my way home as I would like to have some spares and I don't want to change the kitchen for a long time.

Wednesday 13th

Tuesday 12th
I spent most of the evening grouting tiles in the kitchen.

Monday 11th
I heard there was a incident in the bar of the seacat after the grand national on Saturday resulting in two people needing medical treatment and an arrest.

Sunday 10th
Despite having a cold I took my old kitchen units and the sink to the local waste recycling centre. I had to adjust the units using a hammer to get them to fit inside my car.

Saturday 9th
I collected the handles for my kitchen units from a local DIY store.
The Grand National stepple chase (horse rain) is at Aintree today.

Friday 8th
The ferry across the Mersey was full today as there was a rail strike. The weather was good so I sat on deck.
I watched the funeral of the pope John Paul II on TV.

Thursday 7th
I grouted some more tiles in my kitchen. Later in the evening when washing the dishes I discovered some grout on a pizza tray, fortunately it came off fairly easily.

Wednesday 6th
Musicians.

Tuesday 5th

Monday 4th
Summer must be here because when I left work the seacat was at the pierhead ready to take passengers to the Isle of Man.

Sunday 3rd
The Bahrain grand prix today was probably the hottest ever with air temperatures soaring to at least 42C. Many of the cars had to retire due to their brakes and engines overheating. Despite having a new car the Ferrari team didn't manage to collect any points at this race. Montoya was missing from the race because he had injured his shoulder. De La Rosa the test driver for Mclaren took the opportunity to collect a few points despite not racing since the 2002 season.
I finished grouting the 2nd set of tiles.

Saturday 2nd
I finished grouting the first set of tiles. My Dad came round and we put up some more tiles in the kitchen.

Friday 1st
Where did the last month go? It doesn't seem long since the last clipper race round the world finished in 2003. In September the 2005-2006 clipper round the world race will start from Liverpool. It will be 2006 when the clippers finish the race in Liverpool.
I started grouting the tiles that my Dad put up yesterday.
