Tuesday 31st
Back in work. I thought there wouldn't be much work for me after a bank holiday, but there was!
Monday 30th
Bank holiday, so I didn't have to go to work. I cleaned the bathroom, not very exciting but it needed doing. I took some rubble from my garden to the waste recycling centre and then sat out in the garden enjoying the weather.
Sunday 29th
I went to see the new star wars film. It was worth seeing and tied up a load of loose ends.
Non! The French people voted against the new EU charter.
Saturday 28th
I cut the grass in all three lawns.
Friday 27th
Thursday 26th
I managed to get home before the parade in Liverpool. Apparently about 1/2 a million fans were in Liverpool to celebrate the victory.
Wednesday 25th
Football isn't exactly my greatest interest, though tonight I was unable to avoid it. At musicians rehersal we got several text updates as goals were scored. At half time Milan were 3 nil up on Liverpool. At extra time it was 3 all. I went home planning to ignore the football. At about eleven 30 pm I heard lots of shouting so I gave up getting to sleep and got up to check the news on the internet. Liverpool won the game on penulties.
Tuesday 24th
I remembered to put out my white garden recycling bag in the morning. When I came home it was empty so I cut a bit more of the hedge in my front garden.
Monday 23rd
I was on a training course at work.
Sunday 22nd
At church we had a new musician playing the electric guitar.
Saturday 21st
Friday 20th
On the way home I saw Brave Merchant arrive but I didn't see the superseacat II. Later in the evening I heard it was running on three of four engines.
At the gym I did my normal legs workout. At the end I spent ten minutes on an exercise bike. On the way out of the gym I noticed that steps seemed bigger than usual.
Thursday 19th
On the way to work I saw an exploration platform heading back to sea. It has been worked on at a local shipyard.

On the way home from work I visited the bookstall on Logos II. I purchased a couple of CDs and a book.
Wednesday 18th
There was some drama at work. Across the road from where I work a new water mains was being laid and they managed to cut through a rather large power cable. The power quickly came back on the building where I work because we have backup generators.
I heard that the Lady of Mann has been chartered sail around the Azores Islands from June to September. Is this the last time?
Tuesday 17th
MV Logos II which is used in missionary work arrived in Wallasey Dock early in the morning.

My parents got on the ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao.
Monday 16th
At lunch time I purchased some push up stands so that I can exercise even when I am not able to get to the gym. I still went to the gym after work.
Sunday 15th
I spent part of the afternoon in the garden. I didn't stay out very long as I didn't want to end up looking like a lobster.
Saturday 14th
I did some more gardening work. Afterwards I noticed that I had a red neck.
In the evening I went for tea at my parents.
Friday 13th
After work and the gym I did some gardening. I lifted a section of turf and put some extra soil underneath to raise a low part of the lawn.
Thursday 12th
It was sunny again today, so after work I cut the grass on my front lawn. I did notice that the hedge at the front of the garden looks like it needs cutting soon too.
Wednesday 11th
I got the early ferry from work so I did my normal program at the gym plus part of friday's program.
Tuesday 10th
I cut the grass in my back garden after work. I must have hit a stone or a hedge clipping as I broke the plastic cutting blade on my lawn mower. That is the second one I have broken this year. I replaced the blade and carried on, I will have to remember to get some spare plastic blades soon.
Monday 9th
Back to work. It was quite a shock getting up early in the morning. At lunch time I noticed that customs cutter Vigilant was berthed in canning dock. After work I went to the gym and for tea I had a curry with garlic bread.
Sunday 8th
The Spanish Grand Prix, but this time BAR weren't racing. They were punished for having a second hidden fuel tank in their cars.
Saturday 7th
Friday 6th
All the votes were counted. The Labour party are still in power, but they lost a few seats to the Conservatives and the Liberals. The was a bit of drama in the constituency were I voted (no I'm not going to tell you who I voted for). There was a recount, and the existing labour mp Stephen Hesford kept his seat despite Ester McVey reducing his majority to 1,000.
Thursday 5th
Election day. I decided to walk to the polling station. By the time I got back home my feet were reminding me that they still haven't recovered from Snowdon
Wednesday 4th
I heard that a company that provides a ro-ro service across the Irish Sea is doing well and has ordered some two new vessels.
As it was sunny I cut the grass in my back garden. It seems to be growing quite quickly this year.
Tuesday 3rd
As I was off work I thought I would do something I haven't done before, so I climbed Snowdon the highest mountain in Wales.
Monday 2nd
I heard that the Lady of Mann will not be sailing in the Irish sea for much longer.
I delivered the advanced motorist magazines (after the thunderstorm). I noted that one of the people I deliver the magazine to had moved house, but I found the new place OK.
Sunday 1st
I think quite a few mechanics didn't get much sleep over the weekend, the Italian rally was in Sardinia where the roads are narrow with lots of unforgiving rocks. Two cars went off the road and rolled over, one of them managed to complete the stage even though the front suspension had collapsed on one side and the shock absorber was sticking through the bonnet. Two other cars hit a rock and lost a rear wheel. Another car had a leaky oil pump, they took a five minute penualty and had the car towed to the service point rather than waiting for the engine to cease.
