Thursday 30th

Wednesday 29th
After work I went to the gym and then musicians.

Tuesday 28th
Mum and Dad came for tea. Afterwards we went to the advanced motorist meeting - the speaker was someone who had built a kit car. In the break we went outside to look at the car. We retreated inside when it started to rain.
The fleet review occured off Portsmouth to celebrate 200 years since victory at the battle of Trafalgar. Modern warship and relica tall ships travelled from all round the world to be at the event. The tall ship Grand Turk, which took part in the 2005 Mersey River Festival was there.

Monday 27th
Back to work. I left work later than usual and had to run to get the ferry.

Sunday 26th

Saturday 25th
I had breakfast at church.

Friday 24th
When I looked out in the morning I was surprised to see that it was raining.

Thursday 23rd
The weather was amazingly hot. I spent most of the day relaxing, recovering from Wednesday's expedition.

Wednesday 22nd
I went up Snowdon using the rangers path. From the summit we could see Llyn Cwellyn (the lake at the far left of the picture) where we started walking from. I enjoyed looking down on the clouds, it was almost like being able to fly.

Tuesday 21st
I did some gardening. Where did all brambles and bind weed come from? I cut the rest of hedge in my front garden.

Monday 20th
I am holiday this week. The gym I usually attend was also closed this week, so I took the opportunity to have a break. I stayed in for most of the day as a heating engineer was scheduled to fix my combi boiler. I know it is really hot here, but I still don't fancy a cold bath or shower! He arrived around lunch time and replaced the exhaust fan.

Sunday 19th
In the afternoon I went to Oulton Park to see the touring car races.
Later in the evening I watched the US Grand Prix. It was chaotic, seven of the ten teams pulled out of the race on the formation lap because there was a risk of the mitchelin tyres failing, leaving just the three teams using the bridgestone tyres - Ferrari, Jordan and Minardi. I expect the lawyers will be busy and this calls into question next years US Grand Prix. Many disappointed fans left the stands early as Jordan and Minardi couldn't compete with a resurgent Ferrari. The Ferrari drivers only really had to compete with each other to see who got on the top step and at one point they almost collided. In the end Michael stood on the top step, with his team mate Rubbens on the second step. The real race was between Jordan and Minardi to see who would get a driver on the 3rd step. In the end it was Jordan's Portuguese driver.

Saturday 18th
We had a concert at church. By time we had taken down the lights and setup the stage for the Sunday morning meeting it was getting quite late, it was 23:30 by the time I got home.

Friday 17th
I went to the dentist on the way to work. A few weeks ago a small piece broke off one of my teeth when I was eating some crunchy bread. I felt much better once the hole had been filled with a small filling.

Thursday 16th
SuperSeaCat II had a shorter than usual sailing from Liverpool due to a collision with the landing stage.

Wednesday 15th
I had the afternoon off work to get my central heating boiler fixed. The heating engineer discovered that the fan was the problem. He oiled the bearings and ordered a replacement part. Hopefully the new fan arrives soon.
I heard rumours that the Lady of Mann will be officialy sold to Acor Line tomorrow.

Tuesday 14th
On ferry on the way home I saw some of the ships leaving the Albert Dock.

Monday 13th
What happened to the summer weather?

Sunday 12th
Someone from church came round and I gave them some of the spare soil I have. I only have to get rid of a bit more and then I can finish paving the area where the greenhouse used to be.

Saturday 11th
In the morning I went on a walk with some friend from church at a local park.

Later in the afternoon I went to see the kites flying at New Brighton.

Friday 10th
At lunch time I had a walk around the Albert Dock and I noticed that the Liverpool Clipper was berthed in the dock.

Thursday 9th
At lunch time I saw more ships arrive for the Mersey River Festival.

Wednesday 8th
It was seriously hot at lunch time and I developed a red face watching the ships berthing at the Albert Dock

Tuesday 7th
At lunch time I had a quick walk to the Albert Dock. I took a few pictures of the early arrivals for the 2005 Mersey River Festival.

After work I cut the grass on my 3 lawns, I trimmed the hedge and delivered some motoring magazines.

Monday 6th
At lunch time I had a walk around the Albert Dock. I noticed that there seemed to be more boats there than usual. The River Festival starts on Thursday so I will have to make sure my camera is fully charged.

Sunday 5th
After church I didn't seem to have much energy. Possibly something I did yesterday?

Saturday 4th
I climbed Snowdon via the rangers path.

Friday 3rd
On the way home I was daydreaming while waiting for the ferry to arrive. I heard someone say "There's Mark" and turned around and saw someone I know from church. Small world!
After going to the gym I did some shopping and I managed to get home in time to watch a well known music chart show. I was quite shocked to see that "The Crazy Frog" had beaten coldplays "Faster than the speed of sound" to number one.

Thursday 2nd
I didn't seem to have much energy by the time I arrived home. I watched Star Wars episode VI then relaxed in the bath.

Wednesday 1st
Early in the morning, shortly after 7am MV Logos II left Wallasey Docks and headed off to Ireland.
At lunch time I saw the Lady of Mann taking on passengers, vans and motorbikes. It must almost be time for the annual TT races at the Isle of Mann.
In the evening I had a workout at the gym and afterwards I had musicians rehersal. When I returned home I learnt that the Dutch people voted against the EU charter.
