Wednesday 28th
Tuesday 27th
Monday 26th
Tired after a day at work. Went with Dawn to New Brighton to eat a chip shop meal.
Sunday 25th
Saturday 24th
Went out for a meal in the evening to celebrate my Mum's Birthday.
Friday 23rd
Managed to get lost again on the way home. Rush hour traffic was terrible I arrived home after 7pm. Still if I had left a little later it would have been worse... someone I know arrived home after 9pm because of the traffic.
Thursday 22nd
Travelled to work on the M62 -> M60. Lots of other people had the same idea. On the way home I went on the M60. I had a good look at the Trafford Centre while the traffic was stopped. The M62 was rather busy too. I don't think I will use that route again.
Dawn house sat as the central heating engineer was coming to look at the boiler.
Wednesday 21st
Started new contract. Left home at around 7am. Managed to get lost on the way home as the sat-nav wanted me to use the M60 not the M56.
Tuesday 20th
Arranged a two month contract in Cheadle Hume - HURRAH. Did a test drive in the evening to find the place.
Monday 19th
I went to the prayer meeting at the church building... the roof was still missing.
Sunday 18th
It was frosty when I woke up. This turned out to be significant when I arrived at the church building. When the small hall was recently getting decorated dry rot was discovered and part of the roof had to be taken down. It was cold at church!
Saturday 17th
We started painting the ceiling at home.
Friday 16th
Interview near Chester.
Thursday 15th
RFA Cardigan Bay arrived in a Birkenhed shipyard.
Visited Dawn's Nan and her foster parents.
Wednesday 14th
Dawn's relations drove back to their home.
Tuesday 13th
We went to New Brighton beach, yes in February, we didn't get sunburnt. After the walk we went bowling.
Monday 12th
Dawn's Mum, her husband and son arrived to stay at Dawn's apartment.
Sunday 11th
I had a rest from doing PA. It was bliss to be able to join in the worship without having to check sound levels or watch for hand signals from the people on stage.
We spent time tidying Dawns apartment and the house.
Saturday 10th
I was woken up by the phone. I staggered out of bed and walked to the nearest phone in the office. I wondered to myself who would ring at such a time on a weekend? I answered the phone and I recognised the voice. I had forgotten it was the mens breakfast at the church building and I had paid for a ticket two weeks ago. Lets just say I got dressed quicker than usual and then I was out the door. I arrived and discovered that meal had been kept aside for me which was good.
Friday 9th
Despite the roads still being slippery I drove to the job centre and signed on.
Thursday 8th
When I woke up there was a thin layer of snow. By 8am the snow was getting heavy. I drove to Dawn's flat and apart from sliding into the kerb the journey was uneventful. We built a snowman.
I spotted that the bulk carrier Alaska Rainbow had berthed.
I went to the local medical centre to get registered. I felt nervous when I arrived. I had to queue to see the receptionist and I was given a number, so I sat down and waited for my number to be called. I saw the nurse and was relieved when I could go home without the nurse finding anything wrong with me.
Wednesday 7th
I spent the morning at the church building as a large delivery was expected. I helped bring the wood, MDF and plaster board into the building.
I met up with some friends for lunch. I was a little late arriving.
I spotted Prince William in a local dock.
Tuesday 6th
Used my steamed to removed more wallpaper at church.
Monday 5th
I saw the damaged ferry arrive at a Birkenhead shipyard.
Stripped wallpaper from the church entrance hall... we are redecorating.
Sunday 4th
Saturday 3rd
Seriously foggy.
Went on a PA training course.
There was a collision between two ships in the River Mersey.
Friday 2nd
Car covered in frost. Took Dawn to get measured for her wedding dress.
Later in the day we removed the wallpaper from the master bedroom.
Thursday 1st
Bedroom furnature arrived.
