The Prince Albert has now moved on (January 2001). When it left it got into difficulties, a lifeboat was called and a tug towed it to safety.
Here is BrokleBank, a fine example of a river tug. In the background, the domed building is the 'Port of Liver Building', the 'Cunard Building' is directly behind and the world famous 'Liver Building' behind the Cunard Building - only the clock towers of the 'Liver Building' are visible.
Another of the residents of the dock, is a small cargo ship.
A working ship which often is seen in the Albert Dock complex is the Coastal Guardian. The Tate Gallery is shown in the background.
The fishing boat Prince Madoc arrived before Christmas 2002. It took part in the 60th Battle of the Atlantic celebrations.
In 2004 it was on TV. It was used as a diving platform investing the wreck of the paddle steamer Lelia which sank in a storm while on the way to america during the american civil war. The paddle steamer had been built locally and left with urgent supplies despite not being finished.
