I took lots of pictures at the race finish

A crew member had to be taken off by Lifeboat as they had dislocated their hip.

Race 9: Panama - Port Antonio

Race 8: Victoria - Panama
The New York clipper found itself travelling slower than usual. Had the sails ripper? No. Was there a problem with the rigging? No. What could it be? Someone dived under the clipper and discovered a large quantity of kelp attached to the keel and the propeller.
4th place at the finish line.
Race 7 (Qingdao to Victoria)
When undertaking a long journey it is important that all essential equipment is present and working. Sometime important equipment can break during a race and unfortunately this was the case with the toaster.
Race 6 Restarted
New York was 6th to arrive in Qingdao.
Race 5
In race five (Fremantle to Singapore) New York was third past the finish line at Selat Sundra.
Race 1
I met a friend at lunchtime and spotted the clippers had started to arrive at the Albert Dock.
The New York Clipper was one of the first to arrive in Liverpool for the start of the race.

On September 18th I arrived at Seacombe just in time to see the clippers racing.
On the first leg of the voyage from Liverpool to Portugal the clipper hit a large wave and skipper found himself in the air. Not what he expected when he was lying in his bunk. At least he wasn't injured unlike the chap on the Jersey clipper
