Places of Interest - Queen Elizabeth II Docks

Queen Elizabeth II Docks are at the entrance to the Manchester Ship Canal, the worlds first ship canal. Ships normally arrive / depart around high tide.

Picture Description

Clyde Fisher

In February 2006 I was on a walk when I took this picture of the ship approaching the docks. The tug ashgarth was assisting using a stern rope.
I wasn't able to read this ships name on either the bow or the stern.

Stolt Fulmar

The third ship I saw arriving was the Stolt Fulmar which appeared to be empty.

MT Whitask

I saw Whitask leaving the docks and heading towards the sea. I suspect it was heading to one of the docks in the river.
