We arrived at the car park at the base of of Llyn Ogwin and waited but the rain didn't stop.
We put on our water proof gear and followed the path up. |
After a short walk up we reached the shores of llyn idwal. |
From the far side of Llyn Idwal we could see the steep climb to the Devil's Kitchen. |
The further we walked the steeper the path looked. |
The path changed to a rock scramble, though not a difficult as the fictional "stairs" in the Lord of the Rings film. |
We had to be careful as the rocks were wet and slippy. We passed several waterfalls. |
Looking down we could see Llyn Idwal and Llyn Ogwin. |
At the top of the pass visibility was poor, the wind was strong and the rain was in my face! It was time to take the path back down! |
Below the clouds visibility was much improved. There were numerous waterfalls to look at. |
Due to the heavy rainfall it was quite challenging crossing this stream. |
Some rock climbers were attempting one of the more challenging routes. |
It was nice to get back to the car park and take off my soggy socks! |
