Moel Famau - Offas Dyke

The walk starts from the top car park and follows Offas Dyke to the summit. The path is shown in green.

Top Car Park to Summit of Moel Famau
I returned to the top car park (January 19th 2009) on a snowy day and had a snowball fight with my wife Dawn.
I took this picture in January 2005. I am afraid we did not walk far that day as it was seriously windy and rather cold. After a few minutes outside we went back to my parents camper van and had lunch.
In February 2006 I took this picture from the Jubilee Tower on the summit looking back the way we had walked.

Summit of Moel Famau to Moel Arthur
The Offa's Dyke follows the ridge of the Clwyddian Range. At this point I was glad to be wearing water proofs as as the wind was gusting and the rain was hammering down, well it was April (2006).
This picture shows the top of Moel Arthur. There is a deep valley to descend into before reaching Moel Arthur.
The cloud base started lifting and from the summit of Moel Arthur in the distance I could see the Jubilee Tower on the summit of Moel Famau. I ate a chocolate based snack, don't mention it to anyone at the gym.
I felt full of energy so I attempted to run all the way up the side of the valley, I got as far as the steps where I stopped to rest / take this picture.
When I arrived at this sign I was wondering how the distance was measured as most of the path between Moel Famau and Moel Arthur was either going up or going down.
When I saw the Jubilee Tower I knew that it is all down hill from here... I continued on the red path.
