The Garden
These will be the green and growing pages.
Here's a Hippeastrum from the windowsill (or two):

The butterfly-like one is Papillo , the orange is Orange Lion I think. The leafy monster is Orange Lion after flowering
The windowsills themselves look something like this:

Somewhere abouts I have some pictures of this year's new flower buds coming up, always an exciting time, when I can start looking forward to the splash of colour in a few weeks. I hope to put together some basic Hippeastrum care soon, they are easy to grow and widely available, and will tolerate neglect.

And a Streptocarpus or Cape Primrose from my friend Liz:
Outside, I favour the low-maintenance garden, my only regular chore is cutting the grass. The flower beds are planted mostly with ground-cover growths, quite capable of overpowering the weeds and only requiring minimal assistance.
Above are Bergenia or Elephant's Ear, flowers feb-march. Behind that and to the right, geraniums. Centre Rockery Alyssum, centre right Lavender and another Bergenia at the back. Left hand front margin is for small perenials, Dianthus, Saxifrage, and the whole lot has odd bulbs coming up, many of which were already there when we moved in.
