RSYC Winter Series Race 2

The second race of the Royal Southampton Yacht Club’s Winter series was held on Sunday 22nd October in rain and a westerly breeze averaging 17 knots with gusts up to 25 knots.

The Committee Boat was set off Netley and a beat to Deans Lake saw Team Eberspacher and Firebird Orion soon in the lead.

The course was then a fetch to Greenland Buoy, a run to Hovercraft 3 and then a beat to a laid mark off Hythe another fetch to Greenland and a run to the Committee Boat with two laps.

Eberspacher just took line honours by four seconds from Orion. Force X followed with Scooby III and Marmalade enjoyed a good tussle which Scooby won by 4 seconds on corrected time. 

The RSYC Winter series continues on Sunday mornings until December 3rd.
