Royal Southampton Winter Series Race 7

The seventh race of the Royal Southampton Yacht Club’s Winter series was held on Sunday 15th October in sunshine and an westerly breeze averaging 23 knots with gusts up to 35 knots.

In the Multihull Class, Scooby III won the start crossing the fleet on port. Phil Cotton’s Seacart 30 Buzz with one reef in the main led round the first three marks but a navigation error let Team Eberspacher into the lead.  Ben Goodland’s Raider 30 Team Eberspacher was first to finish and first on corrected time from Mike Wigmore’s F28R with sistership Velox third. The RSYC Winter series concludes on Sunday morning December 3rd.
