Good weather, and the presence of a Scotland VII brought with it an expectation of an exciting afternoon, and those present were not disappointed.
Although both the Langholm and Scotland teams were knocked out in the first round, top class teams remained to provide an exciting tournament, leading to Hawick's well deserved win.
The Scott Cup was presented to the winning captain by the Managing Director of The Edinburgh Woollen Mill Ltd, Colin Birrell.
